Financial Services: Audits and Accounting

The goal of WHBG is to first understand your business and the industry in which you operate your business.  WHBG has the most current technology and is well versed in federal, state and local requirements.

Financial statement audits are conducted for the purpose of forming an opinion on the basic financial statements taken as a whole.  An audit includes examining, on a test basis, evidence supporting the amounts and disclosures in the financial statements.  An audit also includes assessing the accounting principles used and significant estimates made by the company’s management, as well as evaluating the overall financial statement presentation.

The purpose of a review is to express limited assurance that there are no material modifications that should be made to the financial statements.  A review consists principally of inquires of company personnel and analytical procedures applied to financial data.  A review does not express an opinion on the financial statements.

Compilations are limited to presenting in the form of financial statements information that is the representation of management.  A compilation does not express an opinion on the financial statements.

Internal Control Audit

The efficiency and profitability of a company relies heavily on the employees of a company.  WHBG conducts audits of internal control to determine if there is any way that your company can improve effectiveness and prosperity.

A company needs to look forward and ascertain where they expect to be in one, three, five or ten years.  Forecasting is based on assumptions that reflect current conditions and then putting expected numbers into the mix.  WHBG helps plan a course of action to get to the numbers you predict.
